In order to qualify for this program:
You must have pass your grade for the current school year. Any students who have failed their grade are automatically disqualified for the Summer Work Program but are still eligible for the YCBM Activity Days.
Are required to sell at least 5 tickets for the Catfish Dinner Fundraiser
Must make at least 2 out of the 3 community service events. Only funerals and doctor’s appointments will be accepted as excuses. Must show doctor’s note or funeral program.
Must stay out of trouble at home, at church, for the remainder of the school year, and with the law.
We will have 2 shifts each day. Shift 1: Ages 8-12 ( 10am-2pm); Shift 2: Ages 13-18 (4:30 pm-8:30pm)
*Each YCBM worker will be paid $7 per hour and will be paid every Tuesday at the end of the work day. Also, on the night of the Summer Work Program Banquet, there will be a bonus payment given to the Summer Work Program Participants.
*Community Service projects are mandatory. You must come to the Activity Day to get the information on the Community Service Project. If you decide to by-pass the community service project, you automatically forfeit 2 work days. Only doctor appointments and funerals will be accepted as excuses. Must bring in your note from the doctor of the funeral program. If you miss the Actiivity Day, call President Bryan @ 318-446-7071, Vice President Deacon Davis @318-792-1001, or YCBM Mentor Walter Lyons @ 318 794-4551 to ghe on the Community Service Project.
